He was born 24 July, 1931, son of Capt Robert George Wilmot Berkeley (1898-1969), by his wife the Hon Myrtle Emmeline Theresa Dormer (1907-82), scion of the Barons Dormer; succeeded his father, 1969; was High Sheriff of Worcester (1967); married 25 January, 1967, Georgina Bridget Stirling Home Drummond Moray, scion of that landed family, by whom he had two sons, Charles and Henry.
