SHANNON
Susan, Countess of, aged 81 years, died on 15th December peacefully after a long illness. Mother of Harry, Gigi and Caroline and grandmother of Oliver and Max. Will be much missed by family and friends..—A Thanksgiving Service will be held at St. Mary's Church, Goudhurst, Kent on 12th January 2012 at 2.30 p.m. Family flowers only

She was the dau of John P Russell HOGG (collateral of the marquesses of LOTHIAN). She m 1957 as his 2nd w (div 1979) the 9th & present Earl of SHANNON (b 1924). Their only son, Viscount Boyle (b 1960) is the unmarried heir apparent to the earldom. They also had two daus as above.
