Christopher Hiley Ludlow Bathurst was b 24 Jun 1934; married 29 Aug 1962 (div. 1986) Elizabeth Mary Thompson, 2nd dau. of Sir Edward Walter Thompson, of Gatacre Park, Bridgnorth, co. Shropshire, by his wife Ann Elizabeth Amphlett, 2nd dau. of Rev George L'Estrange Amphlett, of Four Ashes Hall, Stourbridge; and had issue, (i) the Hon Rupert Edward Ludlow Bathurst (b. 13 Mar 1964), succeeded to the viscountcy, 17 Apr 1979; married Shera Sarosh, dau. of Rohinton Sarosh, and has issue, Benjamin Bathurst (b. 28 Mar 2004); Iona Elizabeth Bathurst (b. 16 Jun 2002); (ii) the Hon Otto Benjamin Charles Bathurst (b. 16 Jun 1971); (i) the Hon Matilda Blanche Bathurst (b. 16 Feb 1967), mar. ..... Clark; not eelected to the House of Lords 1999.
